David LaPenna

David LaPenna grew up in Syracuse, New York, and relocated to Florida in 2009. With both his grandparents and parents having lived in or spent winters in the Tampa area, he spent a great deal of time in Florida long before making it home. He now lives in Land O’ Lakes with his spouse and daughter.

At FEI & GAC Wealth Management, David serves as a Senior Advisor Coach. He has worked for over 30 years in the financial services industry, holding positions at notable institutions including Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, and Suncoast Credit Union. He has a deep passion for the financial markets and for helping people plan for retirement and reach their long-term goals.

David spent over a decade at Suncoast Credit Union working directly with educators in the Tampa region — guiding their retirement planning and building strategies to set them up for success both prior to and into retirement. Educators, first responders, and military members hold a special place in his practice, a commitment rooted in his own family: his father and nephew both served in the military, and his niece works in education, giving him a personal understanding of what it truly means to serve others.

David is driven by his faith, family, and friends. When he is not assisting clients and advisors, he enjoys traveling and cruising with his family, golfing, bowling, and following his favorite sports teams.
